Throwback To Easter In New York City

I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter weekend! Despite the ice storm and losing power for a short time, I definitely enjoyed my weekend at home relaxing, playing board games with my family and eating plenty of chocolate and food.

Three years ago, my mom asked me if I wanted to join her for Easter in New York City. Growing up, NYC was one of my top destinations to travel to and when my mom asked me if I wanted to join her for the Easter weekend in 2013, there was no way I was passing up that opportunity.

Spending time in Central Park on the Sunday was the best part of Easter in NYC. We were surrounded by families in pastel colours, enjoying the sunny and beautiful weather. From there, we stopped by Dylan's Candy Bar because it wouldn't be Easter weekend without some sweet treats. It was so easy to go overboard on candy there, so we left with several bags of candy and ate them immediately after.

My favourite part of travelling is getting the chance to explore the architecture of buildings in the new city. Since my mom and I spent the entire weekend walking everywhere, from Battery Park to mid-Manhattan and up to Central Park, we got a chance to see a huge variety in architecture. I'm looking forward to making the trip to NYC again, but hopefully next time I'll be able to stay longer and try out a bigger variety of food and take more photos of the city.

Do you live in New York City or have you visited there? What's your favourite spot in the city?

Until next time,

Kaitlyn xo
