About me

Hi there! I’m Kaitlyn, a Canadian girl living in the big city of Toronto. By day, I’m a social media coordinator for an international non-profit. When I’m not working, I enjoy cooking, reading, organizing (no joke!) and spending time with friends and family.

I’m so glad you found your way to my little corner of the internet, known as Tall Girl Meets World. I initially started writing on here to share about my experience studying abroad in Sweden. While I was in Växjö (the greenest city in Europe), I learned a lot about what it means to live consciously, to take time out of your day for a fika break with colleagues or friends, and how to maintain an active life.

Today, Tall Girl Meets World is a conscious lifestyle blog where I share tips on making healthier choices, ways to minimize our impact on the environment, how to organize your space (and keep it that way), and everything in between.

I’m not perfect — I still sometimes forget to bring my takeaway cup for coffee, I eat a mostly plant-based diet but I haven’t been able to cut out seafood (I blame my East Coast roots), and I’m still not a morning person despite my many attempts to become one.

BUT, I think living a conscious lifestyle means learning about the impact we’re having on our planet, bodies and those around us, so I always aspire to educate myself and take the steps I can to living a more sustainable life.
