Toronto Christmas Market 2017

Admiring a beautifully decorated Christmas tree, sipping on mulled wine and hot cocoa, and listening to catchy Christmas tunes. Sounds like the perfect Christmas gathering—and also describes the Toronto Christmas Market pretty well! Visiting the market has become a yearly tradition in my home, which is perfectly okay with me because Christmas is my favourite holiday.

There's definitely no lack of food and gift vendors at the market! I always look forward to trying Christmas-themed food and drinks. This year, I picked up a tasty grilled cheese with turkey, cranberry sauce and brie cheese, a hot chocolate spiked with Reyka vodka and topped with whipped cream and candy cane bits, and a classic hot apple cider. We also got to sample some hearty vegetable soup from Campbells. There's nothing quite like a warm bowl of soup on a chilly day!

Unlike many of my family and friends, I actually love cool weather, so walking around an outdoor market bundled up in a giant scarf and cute Canadian mittens (that I purchased at one of the vendors), made for a perfect afternoon. We got lucky with the weather this year as it was chilly, but not too windy or snowy.

Did you visit the Toronto Christmas Market this year? What's your favourite part of the market? What are your family's Christmas traditions?

Until next time,
