5 Home Trends for Spring 2017
With the temperature finally warming up and the rain pattering outside my window, it seems like we're finally starting to get some spring weather! Spring calls for fresh beginnings, so I figured what better time to start posting on here again after taking a hiatus to settle into a new job.
If you want to ring in the new season with something a bit more exciting than spring cleaning (although I'm personally a fan of it), try incorporating fresh spring trends into your home decor. Here's a list of my five favourite spring home trends this year:
1. Marble
This is definitely the trend I'm most excited for because marble is my absolute favourite pattern! My phone case and go-to notebook are both in a marble print. This Timeless Marble Clock from Dot & Bo is so beautiful and it would make the perfect statement piece in your favourite room.
2. Miniature Gardens (aka terrariums)
Flowers and plants are the first things that come to mind when I think of spring, so incorporating natural elements into your home decor is a perfect addition for the fresh season. What I love about this specific terrarium is the neat geometric glass container it's housed in.
3. Velvet in Jewel Tones
Say goodbye to pastel colours. This spring is all about going bold with jewel tones such as purples, blues and greens. Oh, and velvet isn't just for winter. It looks like it will be sticking around for another season!
4. Copper Accents
Some people may think that lamps are totally boring, but I love them! I think they can add the perfect finishing touch to a room. Since it's a bright object, your eyes are drawn to lamps the moment you walk in a room. I love this copper lamp because it's so simple, yet chic. Perfect for all the minimalists (like myself) out there!
5. Upholstered Headboard
This headboard adds a chic element to the bedding and the room as a whole. I also love that it's done in grey, which is such a subtle and calming colour. Paired with a neutral pink tone, this bedroom is perfect for rest and relaxation. Since the headboard is upholstered, it's an ideal spot to rest up against with a good book.

Until next time,
