Cibo Wine Bar

After missing out on Cibo Wine Bar during Winterlicious, my friends and I decided to stop for dinner to celebrate the end of our public relations classes and the start of our internships.

To kick off our meal, the waiter brought over a bread and olive board with sides of olive oil and balsamic vinegar. While I'm not a fan of olives, I'm definitely a fan of carbs and this bread was seasoned perfectly.

Since it was lobster night, I decided to stick with the seafood theme and chose the seafood risotto as my main course. It included a variety of seafood including mussels, scallops and shrimp.

My friends also picked up seafood dishes — two of them enjoyed the lobster raviolis and one dined on shrimp linguini. I had the opportunity to test their dishes and I couldn't get enough, especially the raviolis because that’s one of my favourite types of pasta.

While I stuck with water for my meal, my friend had a glass of the sangria made with sparkling wine and berries. I just had to have a sip, and it was as tasty as it was beautiful.

After dinner, I picked up a cappuccino to wrap up my meal and to keep me caffeinated for my long drive home. It was topped with a nice, thick layer of foam.

Overall, we were all impressed with our dinner at Cibo. We had a great waiter, delicious food and a very spacious and cozy booth. It also doesn't hurt that the venue itself is beautiful and in a great location. If you're in the mood for pasta or seafood - or a combination of both - Cibo is definitely your spot.
